After closing my brick and mortar shop back in December, I took some time off (mentally that is) to decompress. During this period, I mainly watched a lot of Netflix but I also tuned out all things design related and switched off all social media which allowed me to refocus and reignite my passion for a business I have loved for many years. When I was ready to get back at it, I reread my original business plan and looked through the inspiration boards/folders I had created and it allowed me to hone in on what I wanted Eclectic to be going forward.
My vision is to create a collection of lifestyle products that captures all the things I love about living on the coast. What makes this collection unique is the seamless blend of both vintage and new products ambiguously blending decades together. I wanted to kick off the re-launch of my updated website with a photo shoot that encapsulated the collection so I gathered a group of my favorite Charleston friends to help me out!
We had so much fun on this shoot! Big thanks to all who helped make it possible! First off, Michele Johnson of The Scout Guide fame who helped to art direct and especially tell me when people’s arms and legs were doing funny things! And to all the “models” or what I like to call “pretty people” Anne Siegfried of The George Gallery, Austin Dandridge of Cobble Hill, local blogger Annie Reeves, Matt Mill of The Art Mag, local blogger Natalie Mason and Haley Beadle of The George Gallery. And I cannot forget to thank Kelly Hylton of Kelly Hylton & Co. for doing everyone’s hair and Emily Ellison for doing everyone’s make-up, it made the shoot! And major, major, major thanks to my good friends for loaning us their AMAZING house for the day!!! xoxo
